County Health Plan announces 100% coverage
for certain preventive benefits
The County Health Plan will focus on Wellness for 2007 by
promoting valuable coverage for prevention as
well as other programs related to health and
wellness.
On Feb. 1, 2007, the CHP will begin providing
preventive care at 100 percent for all standard-funded CHP member
groups for certain
preventive health benefits; meaning you will
have no out-of-pocket expenses when you or your
covered dependents seek preventive care at an
in-network provider. Groups that renew Jan. 1,
2007 will be getting this benefit effective on
their renewal date.
Such things as routine
well-person visits, mammograms, annual physical
exams and other preventive care, will be covered
in-network at 100 percent without a co-pay. Click here to see a listing of
some of the preventive
services that are covered in this program at 100
percent; please note there are certain age and
date requirements for these.
By taking better
advantage of their health coverage, your
employees will save money and stay healthy and
on the job! By the
end of January, employees will receive new ID cards
with “Wellness 0%” to signify the new benefit.
