I am a Covered Employee

Want to get more out of your benefits with the County Health Plan? Register at www.mycigna.com to have access to important information about your claims and your health benefits.

Health Risk Assessment:  This tool helps you to identify if there are any conditions you may be at risk for experiencing.  It also explains what lifestyle changes you could make that would impact your overall well being.

Search for claims paid on my behalf: When you register on mycigna.com, it’s easy to review what claims have been paid for you.

Request an ID Card: Complete a form for a new ID card for you or your dependents. Your new card(s) should arrive within two weeks. If you need services before your card arrives, ask the health care provider to call CIGNA HealthCare Customer Service to verify coverage information.

Listing of basic co-pay and deductibles: Employees can see basic plan highlights.  Please refer to the coverage booklet for specific exclusions or mandates that may apply to care being received.

The cost of healthcare:  Ever wonder how much an MRI costs at different locations in your home town? These tools help you to look at how much health care costs for you and your dependents as well as the average cost of care in North Carolina and beyond. So whenever you need to receive services, one click is all it takes to get information about how much it will cost you, how much you have already paid in deductibles and what providers are high quality and the most cost-effective.  You can even check on the cost for your medical condition. This tool also helps to define how to cut out-of-pocket expenses.

Vision:  The County Health Plan offers an indemnity vision plan where you pay a deductible when you go to the optometrist for an exam. The optometrist then files the claims with Cigna Healthcare for reimbursement. The cost for lenses and frames are separate from the optometrist charge. Often times, the retailer selling lenses and frames offers a discount. Cigna Healthcare also has a discount program through Healthy Rewards members.

Understanding my benefits: Click here to get a map of your EOB and what the various items on it represent as it relates to your claim. An EOB is not a billing or accounting statement from your provider. If a co-pay is collected by your provider, it may or may not be reflected on this EOB. You may be responsible for additional charges or could be due a refund of what you may have paid at the time of your visit after benefits have been determined.

Rx benefits

Want to find a network pharmacy, understand more about the medications you take, the cost of medications or other general health information? Employees may register at www.caremark.com to access a variety of drug information, benefit plan information and general health information resources and drug cost data. After registering, you can start a new mail order prescription to save time and money!

Find a pharmacy: Log into your account at www.caremark.com, go to My Coverage, and then click on Find a Local Pharmacy.

My coverage: See the actual cost for a drug, review a list of drugs you take along with where the prescription was filled and the date of the fill, and see what drug is available for refill. Look at ways to save on your drug costs by switching from a brand name to a generic drug. Print out a drug history you can take with you on your next doctor’s appointment to discuss your drug options. Find a pharmacy close to you and review your pharmacy benefits summary.

Drug Information: Ask a pharmacist drug questions on line, look up interactions between drugs, and understand more about generic drugs.
